CITY OF MELBOURNE
We are pleased to announce we have received a City of Melbourne grant that supports our movement to upcycle glass bottles produced by hospitality venues in Melbourne CBD. These disregarded bottles will regain life in a range of tablewares available to be ordered by the general public, as well as to be used in restaurants. Venues include The Windsor Hotel, Lucas Group Restaurants, Maha Restaurant, Carlton Club, SPQR, amongst others.
MELBOURNE DESIGN WEEK
By partnering with the primary suppliers of glass bottles to Melbourne’s well-known restaurant groups, we are able to set up a collaborative and sustainable mission to upcycle the hundreds of disregarded wine bottles that get thrown out every single day. We do this in hopes to close the material loop of products and give a new purpose to products that seem to have reached their end-of-life. We are committed to keeping our upcycling production process carbon neutral. This enables us to produce a range of glass tableware in an environmentally responsible manner that does not all short of quality and luxury.
We want to share and spread our mission to more people in Melbourne and thus decided to re-introduce ourselves through NGV’s Melbourne Design Week 2021. Through a selection of demonstration nights, workshops, dinner events, and sponsored partners, we hope to show people how we can #keepglassalive.
